Position Overview 
As a digital sports producer you will create engaging content for KSLSports.com and all affiliated social media accounts. You will write, edit, and post sports stories with our target audience in mind. As a digital sports producer, you will work and produce sports content before, during and after sporting events while working in conjunction with our radio and TV departments.

Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
This position is a hybrid role that requires the employee to sometimes work at our Salt Lake City site. Specific hybrid schedules will be determined based on business needs and evaluated by managers and senior management.

This position includes shifts on nights and weekends. Employee may also be asked to work some holidays.

What You Will Do:  
Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Create engaging sports content for use on digital platforms (web, app, social) using creativity, speed, and appropriate technique
Have an in-depth understanding of all social media platforms while thinking of how to visually represent stories on every platform
Respond to breaking news promptly with compelling content to join trending conversations
Collaborate with other content creators, taking part in content creation across multiple platforms (TV and radio)
Work effectively in a team, deadline-driven environment
Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients
Consistently work hours required. Work more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:  
College degree in digital content/development, journalism or related field
Two (2) years’ digital production experience or equivalent preferred
Exceptional sports knowledge, including strong knowledge of the Utah sports scene
Ability to generate highly creative, compelling sports programming for multi-platform distribution
Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other platforms, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
Prior experience updating and maintaining a brand, team or other professional social media account
Design, photo and video editing skills
Experience with Adobe Creative / Microsoft Office
Experience with WordPress preferred
Expertise using social media platforms to curate and promote news content
Ability to write clear, concise, conversational and accurate copy
Prior experience operating and maintaining professional digital video and audio equipment
Ability to produce content efficiently and concisely under deadline pressure and to manage stress effectively
Maintain a valid driver’s license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing company to serious liability risks

Physical Demands  
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Maintaining a professional demeanor while working under stressful deadline-driven situations
Lift, move, and carry up to 30 pounds on occasion.
Compensation

$18.00 – $22.50. Hourly rate to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
