KOAM News Now is looking for a storyteller to join our award-winning news team as Video Journalist/Producer. We’re looking for someone who understands both the on-air and digital spaces, and who can chart a new course in our ever-changing media landscape. This person will thrive on deadlines, understand the importance of breaking news, curate and create new content for KOAM properties and will build a relationship with our audience.

What you’ll do:

As a video journalist/Producer, you will:

Assist in news content gathering from various sources;
Assist in producing broadcast news programming, including selecting stories and writing scripts;
Assist in coverage of area events and news through recording and editing video;
Assist in updating KOAM digital properties.
What you’ll bring:

The leading video journalist/producer candidate will have a knowledge of journalism ethics and some viewing editing and writing knowledge. We are looking for someone who is open to learning and has a can-do attitude. A BA/BS in journalism or related field with online publishing or communications experience preferred. If you have an open mind, attention to detail and a passion for getting the facts right, let’s talk!
