Description:

KNOE-TV is searching for the next Digital Content Producer to join their award-winning, fun-loving team. The ideal candidate is a driven and dedicated journalist with strong writing skills, who love to write! The candidate will help compose engaging social media posts and help with their streaming platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate excellent writing, copy-editing and storytelling skills, - Write accurate and compelling web articles, - Use Associated Press style on a daily basis, - Break news with accurate and timely push notifications through the KNOE apps, - Craft thoughtful and eye-catching texts, photos, and videos to post for Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms, - Research story ideas from viewers calls, emails, or direct messages, - Brainstorm and carry out creative ideas to increase web traffic and audience engagement, - Design compelling and engaging graphics and visual elements to help the journalists communicate their stories, - Monitor on-air signals for KNOE, KAQY, and KCWL, ingest daily programming and commercials and operate the Master Control automation system, - Be responsible for regular care and maintenance of equipment and studio, including: lighting, cameras and sets, - Operate KNOE’s Connected Television Live Desk to stream events for audience, - Collaborate and communicate with reporters, other digital team members, producers, anchors, and managers to gather content for online and on-air.

Requirements:

- The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have a strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills - Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure, - Able to work well with a team, - Flexible to working mornings, nights, and weekends, - Working knowledge of web and social media platforms, - A desire to grow in a newsroom, - A bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism, - At least one internship in a newsroom is plus, strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling.
