KUNC is an NPR affiliate in Greeley, Colorado that serves a large audience around the state including Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, eastern Colorado and mountain communities. We are seeking an experienced Reporter to be part of our collaborative reporting project, the Mountain West News Bureau.  The Mountain West News Bureau is a consortium of six NPR-affiliate stations that act as a network to provide in-depth, impartial and critical reporting across the Rocky Mountain region. Member stations are located in Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming.  Our ideal candidate has a solid foundation of reporting skills and radio production, and a desire to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude for meeting expectations.

Responsibilities:

Reporter works closely with the Mountain West News Bureau Editor to produce relevant and engaging content that includes the issues of public lands, western culture, politics, the environment, news trends in the region and more. Reporter creates news spots and sound-rich, in-depth features for broadcast on KUNC and several other stations that are part of the Mountain West News Bureau. Reporter produces web content and covers breaking news as assigned.
