This position is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, organizing and implementing on-air graphics for daily newscasts, promotions and special projects.


  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts for network promotion, marketing and branding initiatives for on-air, digital and print.
  • Maintain graphics resource library, follow naming conventions and network folder structure.
  • Use strong design skills towards laying out concepts in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and other design software. 
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Cinema4D a plus.
  • Work with other designers, web developers, social media strategists, Internet Project Coordinators, and Sales Management to make sure that client/manager deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other departments such as programming, promotions and sales.
  • Build working relationships with co-workers.



  • 3-5 years professional experience working at a broadcast/cable network or with an advertising design group.
  • Proficiency in current design and animation software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After EffectsProficiency in producing HD broadcast graphics.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast graphics systems (Deko, Chyron, etc.) .
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard file formats and network server systems.
  • Working knowledge of Cinema4D or other professional 3D animation software.
  • Experience creating graphics for websites, mobile applications and print advertising a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines; maintaining a positive attitude in a high stress/pressure environment.
  • Must have good people skills; work flexibility a must.
  • Able to manage personal workload and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Art School or Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design preferred.
