Classical KCME and Jazz 93.5 of Colorado Springs, seeks an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced (4 years+) Development Director to lead the fundraising efforts of both non-profit radio stations. 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to generate funding from the community through on-air membership drives, direct mail programs and marketing activities. Must be a self-starter, with superb written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Donor-centric and volunteer service mentality. Great time management, multi-tasking and flexibility with job duties. Highly organized and professional. 

  • Knowledge of and ability to use the membership database (Allegiance) or CRM power-user.
  • Manage KCME and Jazz 93.5’s direct mail programs
  • Plan and supervise the semi-annual on-air membership drives
  • Manage major donor program
  • Write and submit all foundation grants to support station operations
  • Develop and Manage Planned Giving program and Endowment Fund
  • Oversee marketing, promotion, advertising and public relations for the station
  • Produce and distribute the monthly station e-newsletter
  • Manages / updates the overall content of the KCME and Jazz 93.5 website
  • Manage special donor appreciation events as well as community events
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:

Experience with fundraising for nonprofit organizations, strong communication skills, outstanding computer skills, a positive attitude and the ability to represent the station in a persuasive and professional manner required.Demonstrated success in the field of nonprofit development preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. KCME/Jazz 93.5 is an EOE/ADA employer.

  • Bachelors (Required)
