KSL TV is looking for an experienced sales leader to support, develop and expand relationships with national and regional sales clients. This leader must meet sales and exceed revenue goals as well as demonstrate a deep understanding of the broadcast and the emerging digital industry. This position will help manage sales for the premier TV station in Salt Lake City in partnership with the Director of Local Sales and our team of Account Managers and Sales Assistants. In addition, this role will be responsible for fostering relationships with businesses and industry influencers to identify new commercial sales and partnership growth opportunities.



Responsible for the sale of advertising for national and regional clients.
Solicit new business though the development of tools, offers and programs.
Analyze current partnerships and create growth strategies to increase sales.
Manage a team of experienced national sales reps throughout the country
Encourage national sales reps to grow digital sales revenues with all national clients
Oversee all political sales for candidate, issue and PAC monies and staying within FCC political parameters
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at brands, ownership groups and management groups.



Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or minimum five years of related sales management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels across the local organization.
Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
Position requires computer expertise, including use of internet, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
Willing to travel to larger markets to visit national clients in conjunction with national sales reps
Ability to organize, analyze and interpret sales, rating and other data and draw conclusions from finding and follow-through.
Ability to work collaboratively with limited supervision to achieve sales goals.
Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments.
Highly familiar with the benefits and shortcomings of all types of media including, but not limited to "heritage" media as well as all types of current and emerging social and digital media.
Maintain a valid drivers license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing company to serious liability risks.
 Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
