Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC), one of the fastest growing Hispanic multi-media companies, seeks a Business Operations Manager for our Phoenix, Arizona stations.  This position is responsible for handling a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, managing the business affairs of the local radio market, the accounting department, and overseeing basic HR functions.  This position primarily performs office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or general business operations for the employer, customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgement in carrying out duties as to matters of significance to the employers business; and performs his or her job only under general supervision and works along specialized or technical lines requiring special training, experience, or knowledge.  The Business Operations Manager will report directly to the VP of Business Operations with strong dotted line responsibilities to the Senior Vice President and Global Human Resources.  This is a full time position, Monday through Friday.  Actual hours may vary.

Responsibilities:

LEADERSHIP. Supervise the business affairs of the local television and radio market. Manage the accounting department, financial operations, budgeting, general ledger, audit, credit and collections, and overseeing basic HR function.

ORGANIZATION AND REPORTING. Maintain and oversee on-site personnel, payroll, timeclock, time off, overtime, job posting, talent agreement, and sales commission records.

WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT. Utilize company tools to post job positions. Coordinate with designated hiring manager to fill open positions. Provide and collect mandatory hiring documents for new employees. Follow company procedures for promotions, job changes, and terminations.

Requirements:

Ideal candidate will be/have:

  • 2+ years of accounting or comparable experience.
  • Recruitment, hiring, compensation, leadership, training.
  • Capacity to manage teams and business units in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Experience reporting to top management, board of directors, developing strong presentations.

Requirements:

  • Leadership. The capacity to attract, persuade, motivate and develop multidisciplinary management through a connected environment and “future of media and marketing”.
    Broadcast. Understanding, experience and exposure to TV and Radio broadcasting.
    Traffic. Traffic System experience strongly preferred.
  • Planning and Organization. Demonstrated management ability for accountability, planning, budgeting and reporting.
  • Languages: English/Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Technology tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC operating systems.
