Summary 

We are looking for a Sr. Media strategist who will be responsible for collaborating with multiple internal departments and providing media plans based on client goals and objectives. The Media Strategist works closely with the marketing team of a large recognizable client; and leads and manages other team members in carrying out day-to-day digital media planning, buying, and optimizing activities. This is a dedicated position for a single client; however, you will be part of a broader team of media professionals, and will work closely with the media director in providing leadership, mentoring, experience and support to other members of the media sciences team. 

Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day media planning and buying for multi-channel and cross-device campaigns, breaking down annual and quarterly goals to develop digital strategies that align with media and business objectives
Work cross-functionally with creative, content, research, and analytics teams to develop cohesive, innovative and strategic holistic media plans
Partner with the lead Account Director(s) and agency leadership in building strong relationship with the Client
Communicate media plan strategy and tactics along with how it effectively meets goals outlined in a client brief
Collaborate with Account Director(s), team members, and other departments to ensure campaigns are transitioned and executed according to plan; pivot based on any in-campaign optimizations and revisions
Work closely with agency internal teams to report on media and to provide monthly and quarterly updates on optimizations as well as provide strategic direction to Client and greater team.
Evaluate offerings of media vendors and manage negotiations and performance to meet campaign delivery goals and KPIs
Plan and optimize programmatic media efforts by working closely with agency in-house, and other client selected optimization partners, utilizing 1st and 3rd party data sources for both upper-funnel branding and lower-funnel performance campaigns
Craft and sustain overall marketing strategy that spans paid, earned, organic, and social by developing campaign calendars and overseeing implementation and performance within self-service platforms.
Manage and educate associate planners on billing, trafficking, campaign tracking, and digital and social marketing strategy, including social campaign setup
Collect and analyze market data
Identify target audiences and understand their behavior and habits
Determine the best media outlet mix for agency campaigns
Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans and more
Allocate budgets and monitor costs
Evaluate the success of media strategies and campaigns

Requirements:

Required 

8+ years of experience as a Media Planner -- agency side preferred
Proven experience in digital media, out of home, TV, Radio, OTT
Broad knowledge of media channels
Excellent client service, communication, and presentation skills  
Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying
Working knowledge of analytics and attribution tools 
Strong Excel experience
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
Strong decision-making skills
Extreme attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and accuracy
 

Desired 

International experience in marketing to LATAM and/or APAC
Fluent in additional language(s)
Advanced knowledge of databases and SQL
An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math
Experience with Tableau
Ad Platform certifications
