Engineering/IT Administrator
The Broadcast Engineer/IT Technician will be an integral part of the Engineering Department. The position combines the broadcast engineering and IT skills needed within a modern television station. We maintain the broadcast plant along with supporting each department in their day-to-day operations. A typical day can be the repair of studio equipment, helping an end-user with an email issue, transmitter checks at a remote site and helping the IT manager configure a LAN.



-Installation, maintenance and repair of all broadcast and computer systems within the television station
-Bench work to include repairing of microphones, cameras, cables and much more
-End-user desktop support and proficiency with Windows OS, various television systems software and networking
-Maintain and repair of broadcast ENG trucks and stingers
-Broadcast UHF and microwave transmitter maintenance, operation and repair
-Building maintenance



A qualified candidate must be a self-starter, team player with excellent communication and people skills and can hit the ground running.
Due to the wide range of projects encountered, mechanical aptitude and a technical mind are a must along with electronics education or military electronics training being a plus. RF experience with broadcast transmitters is also a plus along with the ability to assume occasional operation of SNG/ENG trucks for remote TV broadcasting of news or community events if needed. Live truck training will be provided.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces. This position may require flexible work hours and possibly some holidays.
