KLFY News 10, the station for Acadiana, is looking for a motivated individual to be a multi-media journalist. A Multi-media journalist is responsible for developing and nurturing local news contacts, developing unique stories, covering breaking news and following up on news stories. MMJ develops the story, shoots, writes and edits the story, and  is responsible for its presentation on multiple media platforms. All MMJs are responsible for carrying camera equipment, setting camera up on tripod, and driving to story locations. Must be able to lift up to 16 pounds. Stories are expected to be timely, urgent and newsworthy. May be asked to read news during newscasts or conduct live or taped interviews. May also be asked to appear at newsworthy events or charitable functions as represetatives of KLFY TV 10. Whenever they are representing the station, on air and off air, they are expected to be presentable and respectful


Three years of reporting experience is preferred.
