WXIN/WTTV, a Tribune Broadcasting station, has an opening for a Sales Assistant to work in our Indianapolis location.

The Sales Assistant will assist the sales management team with advertising efforts while developing skills and job knowledge for possible future role of Account Executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales management team by coordinating advertiser account activity inside the station
  • Generate and review data/reporting for client analysis
  • Facilitate schedule change communication through various software systems
  • Notify clients of program changes and late runs; create order revision in event of late orders and schedule changes
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal departments to coordinate copy instructions/programming
  • Schedule client appointments and provide AE’s with reporting as requested
  • Review and file contracts and invoices
  • Research invoice discrepancies; solicit payment from clients as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in support role
  • Prior experience in a sales department preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
