Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs and manages ETVs pre-K and K-12 service to schools statewide using online / digital services, video on-demand, broadcast and training services.  Oversees teacher, public safety and all other digital training, services and products.  Works with CEO to evolve departmental vision and adapt department and resource utilization to maintain relevant services and delivery methods and to identify and expand future services.

Coordinates with School Districts, the Education Oversight Committee, the SC Department of Education and other agencies/partners to provide and promote ETV digital educational services and training, content and support to teachers, students and school districts.  Identifies and develops relationships with other entities, agencies, vendors, etc. to help expand, serve and promote ETVs K-12 technology initiatives and other education services.  Develops and oversees special educational projects based on feedback from partner agencies and industry trends.

Manages contracts with the SC Division of Technology, Criminal Justice Academy, other agencies / clients and vendors.  Works with agencies and clients to identify future service needs and with vendors and staff to develop products and platforms accordingly.  Manages Educational Broadband Services (EBS) contract and use of EBS services.

Manages SCETVs digital learning and support platforms, including StreamlineSC, ETV Education websites, Teacherline, KnowItAll, etc.  Oversees editorial content creation for digital learning and support platforms and works collaboratively with other departments to create or identify content that can be used across platforms to create educational content or educational content that can be utilized with alternative distribution platforms.  Coordinates Outreach and Customer Service functions in Education.

Develops short-term and long-term plans for ETV Education.  Identifies and develops new platforms and offerings to support strategic vision and better serve teachers, administrators and students.  Ensures compliance with federal (FCC) and state requirements, as applicable.  Manages departmental staff, structure and budget to support identified goals and objectives.

Requirements:

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Masters degree and 10+ years of relevant program experience delivering educational services statewide; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the agencys mission, programs and objectives.  Knowledge of management principles.  Knowledge of the agencys organizational structure.  Experience in and ability to work with preK-12 state governance, public school districts, private and home schools, charter schools, Institutions of Higher Education, and all applicable preK-12 education institutions and associations. Experience providing and promoting preK-12 educational content and professional development services for all grade levels and state curriculum taxonomies.  Experience in ability to oversee special educational projects that effectively address identified state and local needs. Ability to manage state, public service, and local government trainings. Knowledge and thorough understanding of Education Broadband Services (EBS).  Possess the skills and knowledge to develop and implement short-term and long-term education plans.  Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
