The Digital Account Executive is responsible for generating digital media revenues for the assigned market to meet or exceed predetermined goals. You will also create revenues by working collaboratively with Local Sales Managers, by making digital sales presentations and by directly selling to key digital primary and secondary accounts as assigned.  You will service and secure mutually beneficial relationships with various local businesses, agencies or individuals that have a desire to reach their target audience through various digital advertising channels and services.



  • Develop and manage revenue producing relationships with clients and agencies.
  • Prospect for new business and build a full pipeline of digital sales prospects.
  • Analyze client marketing goals and develop needs based digital solutions to achieve them.
  • Oversee digital campaign execution and analysis.
  • Provide consultation to sales managers, sales teams and clients in the areas of digital strategy (web design basics, social media and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to drive revenue.
  • Collaborate with existing sellers in the development of digital solutions for clients.
  • Work in partnership with content managers to identify ad supported content opportunities on sites and social pages.
  • In partnership with new or existing resources, develop and manage the process of digital sales fulfillment and campaign delivery in conjunction with colleagues across CMG digital organization.
  • Work with Social Media Manager on revenue opportunities.




  • Proven track record of sales success in local media or software-as-a service (SaaS) setting.
  • BA/BS degree preferred with a minimum of three years of digital media sales, account management or buying experience.
  • Understanding of digital media landscape and campaign best practices.
  • Technically savvy with high understanding and use of social media.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Hard-working, integrity, relationship-builder with a winning attitude.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Work with brand teams, ad operations and finance to provide client satisfaction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools; Google Analytics experience a plus.
  • Some travel necessary.
