Position: Deseret Management Corporation (DMC) is looking for a successful and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to help produce and manage events from conception through to completion.  The Project Coordinator will assist with the management and development of DMCs Read Today and Sterling Scholar initiatives.  Project Coordinator must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with little to no supervision and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.  Some administrative clerical tasks included.  Well organized, with communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best candidates.



Run point on events and initiatives
Provide support for development of Read Today and Sterling Scholar initiatives
Create and deliver event and/or promotion proposals
Increase social media presence for the Read Today program
Collaborate with several companies across DMC as well as local groups in the community
Generate memos, emails and reports when necessary
Help to manage workflow by assisting with administrative tasks, ensuring deadlines are met
Prepare materials, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seating cards, etc...
Some weekend work and travel may be required



Well organized with attention to detail
Experience with marketing, particularly in social media
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
High school education or equivalent
Project a pleasant, energetic, businesslike image while representing the company
Work effectively with the public, clients, hosts, and other employees
Proven ability to be a self-starter, work under pressure, and handle stress
Work effectively in a team environment
Physical Demands: 

Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination
Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds consistently
