Description:
Southwest Louisiana’s KPLC-TV seeks a degreed meteorologist to join the First Alert Weather Team.
The primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing weather data and preparing an accurate forecast for our weekday newscast. You’ll use the latest products from The Weather Company/WSI to create forecasts and deliver weather-related news across multiple platforms.
Requirements are a bachelor’s degree in meteorology or atmospheric sciences from an accredited institution. A background in journalism and/or mass communication is also preferred. Flexibility in scheduling to cover severe weather or fill-in for other weather team members is a must. You must also have a good driving record, and valid driver’s license. MVR required.
