SPORTS REPORTER/ANCHOR/PRODUCER

Full-Time Contract Position

WMDT is seeking a creative sports journalist to join our hyper-local sports department. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and the ability to report from the field as well as on-air in the studio.

Responsibilities:

–       Report, write, shoot and edit engaging sports content

–       Develop and implement enterprise stories

–       Establish and maintain key contacts for covering local sports

–       Produce content for all platforms including broadcast, web and social media

–       Anchor assigned sports segments in studio

Degree in Journalism or Communication preferred but will consider related experience. Weekend hours will be required. Must be flexible with schedule. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Panasonic equipment preferred but will train the right individual.

Three year contract: Wage range: $31,200 to $37,000/year, minimum 40/hrs. week, overtime possible, but not guaranteed
