Rare opening for radio Play-by-Play position to call Boston Bruins hockey games on their flagship station 98.5 The Sports Hub and the Boston Bruins Radio Network. Call 4 preseason, all 82 regular season, as well as any and all playoff games. Working alongside long-time analyst Bob Beers. Ability to describe the action while keeping up with the pace of calling an NHL game on the radio. This position requires extensive game preparation, including on non-game days, attending team practices, travel for all away games, working closely with broadcast Executive Producer and analyst on the format of each game broadcast including the 30-minute pregame show. Co-host the Saturday morning “Hockey Show” 9am-11am for the duration of the Bruins season. Contribute to all station digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years hockey PBP experience, having called games on a professional, junior or high college level
- Strong communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of NHL
- Must be a team player and able to work with multiple departments
