Alaska Public Broadcasting, Inc. (APBI) seeks a Broadcast Engineer to join the staff of our statewide public media service bureau. APBI is a statewide organization providing a variety of support services to twenty-six public radio and four public television licensees in Alaska. Alaska is scenically beautiful with abundant outdoor recreation opportunities, features a wide range of climates, and is geographically and culturally diverse. The Broadcast Engineer will provide system support in all aspects of broadcast and new media engineering; including planning, installation, maintenance, repairs, FCC compliance and training.


For over 15 years the APBI engineering operation has provided onsite and remote broadcast and technical support to public broadcasting stations throughout Alaska. We seek a good natured, energetic person with great organizational and people skills, as well as significant experience in broadcast engineering. We seek someone who will enjoy working in a dynamic and innovative organization and bring strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record in project planning and implementation. We seek someone who enjoys working in the field with station personnel and community members.
